Case Study – XTRF

Definition of current design system + transition branding for XTM merger

Project
Description

Working as Brand and Design Manager in XTM marketing team. Key responsibilities included: ideation, creative design strategy, and execution, as well as coordination of all assets associated with its branding and asset design. I took brand ownership since the merger of XTRF within the XTM’s brand portfolio. I reconstructed and enhanced the design system for XTRF. Given the absence of work files from their designers, I recreated and improved their visual system based solely on their website. This initiative aimed to sustain their operations while simultaneously enhancing their look and feel and branding. During the process, we created new templates for employees to use, assets to nurture lead generation campaigns, created and populated user-friendly asset libraries and keep transitioning the brand within the XTM merger ad-hoc strategy.

Type of company: SAAS enterprise within the translation management systems industry.

1. Corporate stationary system

Creation of a set of templates to consistently operate. Development of a set of templates and processes to improve brand consistency internally and externally in the daily basis of the company (letterheads, document templates, deck templates, business cards, etc.).

2. Brand visual design system

When XTRF was acquired by XTM they didn’t had design guidelines or a standard system. I’ve analized their brand and current assets to be able to function comemercially and to prepare the brand to transition to the new umbrella brand.

Creation, implementation and estandarization of design elements (fonts, icons, illustration and image styles…) together with usage rules and a library creation for the company to use it.

In the image, you can see examples of the new design system applied to key business pages. This includes collaged imagery, product illustrations, and icons and illustrations aligned with the XTM identity. As part of the transition strategy, the XTRF color scheme has been retained.

The XTRF website was sunseted after the integration process. The product is now showcased directly on the XTM website, offering a more cohesive and integrated look and feel.

3. Other design assets

Design of any collateral needed for different touchpoints, such as whitepapers, PPC ads, email and Social Media assets.
